No pageant experience is necessary to compete in a Miss Florida Palm preliminary Pageant.
It is designed as a premier pageant system to support Education & to give contestants neccesary practice & confidence of life skills
for future Interviews, speech, public speaking and other competitions. Queens will serve as Ambassadors for Education within their area
and promote, support and attempt to attend all other pageant systems in thier area for the upcoming year.
They can make and are encouraged to make all the appearances they want throughout the year!
If asked by another pageant system director to assist with another pageant system we highly encourage you to do so to the utmost of your ability.
It is required that whenever you make appearances that you are dressed appropriately, in a manner that will bring credit to their
Title they are representing & the pageant system you are assisting. There may be a few scheduled appearances for the Queens
to participate at that will be discussed with the Queens & their families with their Prelim director.
Queens are also highly encouraged to participate in all area parades & events throughout their area.
The 2008 State Palm Pageant provided over $5,000.00 for education + over $2,000.00 in awards & prizes.
The 2009 State Palm Pageant provided over $8,000.00 for education + over $2,000.00 in awards & prizes.
The 2010 State Palm Pageant provided over $6,000.00 for education + over $2,000.00 in awards & prizes.
Our 2011 Pageant is sure to be even better!

(1) All preliminary Pageants to the Miss Florida Palm State Scholarship are designed as an opportunity for direct Palm pageant prelims and other pageant systems to advance their Queens to another level of competition & the opportunity to earn a very nice scholarship at state.
(2) Contestants will compete in the age division they are in the day of the pageant. Contestant must be a legal resident of Florida. Pageant is an open pageant & set by the local director to a specific city, county or region of Florida that the contestant resides, works or attends school. Parents owning Property in Florida does not constitute the contestant being a resident of Florida.
(3) Contestants must have never been married, ever been pregnant or ever had a baby. Exception is Mrs. Division. Contestant & those named Queen shall possess poise, personality, intelligence, charm and be of good moral character, always act in a lady like manner & never convicted of a crime. Should there be a problem of any kind during the pageant, or related events, the contestant is to go to one of the Directors. Any unruly, unsportsmanlike, or any unbecoming conduct by a contestant or any member of her entourage, or any disregard for the rules and regulations of this pageant could result in immediate dismissal from further competition without refund.
(4) Furthermore, During Queens reign, Queens cannot marry, become pregnant, (exception Mrs. Division) or be convicted of a crime during their reign. Queens shall possess poise, personality, intelligence, charm and be of good moral character, always act in a lady like manner & never suspended or expelled from school & never convicted of a crime. In the event that a Queen gets involved in any situation that could bring into question any of the above issues it is the Queens responsibilty to notify the Director in a timely manner, so that we do not hear of any issues or possible concerns from other sources 1st. Situations will be addressed on a case by case basis. Queens must understand that, should the Pageant system & director determine that your title be relinquished, Queens will be required to return all prizes given to her without reprisal. Depending upon the severity of the action or behavior, it could result in a permanent barrier from future competition in the Miss Florida Palm State Pageant system. If you should lose your title, you will not be allowed to compete in the Miss Florida State Palm Pageant system again! If a queen loses her title, she will have to return all prizes including but not limited to crown, banner, trophy, and gifts without reprisal.
(5) If you win your local prelim and or the Miss Florida Palm State Scholarship pageant: You can hold any title, we don't care how many titles you hold, and compete for, We encourage you in all of them. Your Local prelim director and/or the State Miss Palm Director must be made aware of any appearances you will be making & give you prior approval. Must always act in a ladylike manner, dress very appropriately for appearances, and always wear crown and banner. Always get dress attire approved by Director. Queens may have various scheduled events to attend throughout their reigning year as Queens.
(6) Miss Queen is responsible for making contact with the Director, not other family members. All Queens must be on time for all appointments & appearances.
(7) Queens agree to abide by all the rules and regulations set forth by the prelim Pageant Board now in affect or announced thereafter.
(8) The pageant will be conducted under the rules set forth by their local prelim and the Miss Florida Palm State Pageant Board and a contestant agrees that the time, manner, and method of judging the pageant shall be solely within the discretion of the Pageant Board and the judges decisions are final.
(9) No refunds unless the pageant should be canceled. Entry fees, Photo's, optional fees and ads (ready to be copied) must accompany application.
(10) The number of applications accepted in each age division will not be limited. Contestant line-up will be in alphabetical order.
(11) The preregistration dates, deadline dates and entry fee's to enter will be set by the local prelim director and identified on their specific applications. Applications must include all money, application, ads, & photo's.
(12) All contestants must be sponsored by family, friends or businesses with 1 Good Luck ad at a cost of $25.00. Sponsor will be announced on stage by Emcee & will be a personal Good Luck Ad of 15 words or less with photo for program that will appear below their photo on the constestant/division page. This ad must be submitted ready to be copied.

(14) The Miss ______________ Tropical Palm Swimwear Queen competition is open to all contestants and winners are eligible and required to enter state. Inquire with your local director as to who pays your entry fee to state. This is at the local directors discretion based on the numbers of contestants in their prelim. It is Required that the Swimwear Queen enter the state Pageant. Entry is optional & only $30.00. It will be scored separetly from the seven optional & eight division competitions as a separate optional competition. The swimwear competition will take place after the beauty competition score sheets have been turned into auditor.
The Swimwear competition will be scored from 1-25 in each of the following 4 areas:
(1) Beauty: of Face and Figure,
(2) Swimwear: Color, Style & Fit,
(3) Presentation: Modeling Ability, Posture & Confidence,
(4) Overall Appearance:
The person with the highest score in the swimwear competition will be crowned

Prizes: Title of Little Miss & Miss ________________ Tropical Palm Swimwear Queen. Very Nice Crown, very nice sash finely embroidered & trimmed & a Very nice trophy.
(15) The Miss ___________ Tropical Palm Model Queen Competition is open to all contestants and winners are eligible and required to enter state. Inquire with your local director as to who pays your entry fee to state. This is at the local directors discretion based on the numbers of contestants in their prelim. It is Required that the Model Queen enter the state Pageant. Walk the Runway, Strike that pose & compete for this great Title! Ever want to have your own personal modeling shoot. Get Ready Now! Chose your best modeling outfit and have the time of your life competing for this great Title. It is optional to enter this competition. Entry fee for this optional competition is an additional $30.00. It will be scored separetly from the seven optional & eight division competitions as a separate optional competition. The swimwear competition will take place after the beauty competition score sheets have been turned into auditor. All entries will be judged on their modeling abilities and their photogenic appeal by the Division Judges. Prizes: Title of Miss ________________ Tropical Palm Model Queen. Very Nice Crown, very nice sash finely embroidered & trimmed & a Very nice trophy.
The Model competition will be scored from 1-25 in each of the following 4 areas:
(1) Beauty: of Face and Figure,
(2) Swimwear: Color, Style & Fit,
(3) Presentation: Modeling Ability, Posture & Confidence,
(4) Overall Appearance:
The person with the highest score in the Model competition will be crowned

The Miss ___________ Tropical Palm Talent Queen Competition is open to all contestants and winners are eligible and required to enter state. Inquire with your local director as to who pays your entry fee to state. This is at the local directors discretion based on the numbers of contestants in their prelim. It is Required that the Model Queen enter the state Pageant. Showcase your Talent & compete for this great Title! Get Ready Now, and have the time of your life competing for this great Title. It is optional to enter this competition. Entry fee for this optional competition is an additional $30.00. It will be scored separetly from the seven optional & eight division competitions as a separate optional competition. The Talent competition will take place after the beauty competition score sheets have been turned into auditor. All entries will be judged on their Talent, and & Judges Appeal by the Division Judges. Prizes: Title of Miss ________________ Tropical Palm Talent Queen. Very Nice Crown, very nice sash finely embroidered & trimmed & a Very nice trophy. The person with the highest score in the Talent competition will be crowned

(16) The Miss _______________ Pageant will not double crown. Should you win your age division and the Talent, Swimwear or Modeling competition you will be crowned for your age division only, which takes pecedence. In the event that this happens the 1st runner-up in the swimwear, Modeling, and/or Talent competitions will be crowned. This allows us to Crown more Queens to be eligible to enter the state competition.
(17) No electronic devices, CAMERA's, Video Recorders, Camcorders, cell phones, beepers, etc. allowed in the building. This includes members of the contestants family. We will have a videographer and a photographer at the pageant for your convenience. Anyone caught using any of these devices will be promptly asked to leave or law enforcement will be called. Your cooperation is appreciated.
(18) Money Orders, checks or cash will be accepted. A $40.00 service charge will be charged for any returned checks. Checks not picked up within 30 days will be turned over to the states attorney and/or collection agency at your expense.
(19) No outside food or drinks inside auditorium at the pageant of any kind.
(20) No solicitation is allowed at the Pageant unless prior approval is recieved from the director. You will be asked to leave promptly! We look forward to you joining us in the fun and excitement of competing & promoting the Miss Florida Palm State Pageant System.
(21) There will be an initial parade of contestants, followed by a line-up with introductions (Name, Title, division, contestant number, town & a little flavor is ok to add), Please limit intro's to 30 seconds. Then on to the division competitions which will begin with their individual walks with an on-stage question for Tiny - Mrs divisions at podium, then a final group line-up after each division (this is when optionals will be scored).
(22) Please understand that not all contestants enter optionals & the scoring & auditing of optionals may take some time to tally & require a intermission. There are 7 optionals that the girls are competing for which takes awhile to audit.
(23) All Queens must remain for photos after the pageant.
