Miss Sunshine Pageant Information
The 2nd annual Miss Sunshine Pageant will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2010
at the Springfield Community Building, 3728 E. 3rd Street, Panama City, FL 32401.
This is a fundraiser pageant!
All proceeds will benefit the Justine Kelly's memorial scholarship through the Bay Education Take Stock in Children Scholarship.
Age Divisions Include:
Baby Miss Sunshine 0-12 months
Teeny Miss Sunshine 13-23 months
Tiny Miss Sunshine 2-3 years
Little Miss Sunshine 4-6 years
Petite Miss Sunshine 7-9 years
Junior Miss Sunshine 10-12 years
Teen Miss Sunshine 13-16 years
Miss Sunshine 17- 24 years
Mrs. Sunshine 21- up & Married
Registration:
The pageant will begin at 2:00 p.m. and registration for all divisions will begin at 1:00 p.m.
Contestants must be dressed and ready for line up 15 minutes prior to competition.
We will not hold an age division for anyone who is late.
Attire:
You will only need one outfit for the entire pageant. The attire will be pageant dresses only.
Please keep your wardrobe age appropriate.
Pageant Walk:
There will not be a practice the day before the pageant. The walk will be standard “T” shape walk.
I will explain before the pageant begins on how you should come out and exit the stage.
I will go over the standard walk as well. It's very simple!
On-Stage:
Contestants ages 3 & under must be accommodated by one adult on stage.
Contestants ages 7 and up will be asked to say their name, age, and where they are from on stage during the parade of contestants.
The adults that go on stage with contestants 3 & under will state this information for the contestant.
Contestant ages 4-6 if they have trouble stating their information the MC will have their information to help them out.
Please remember contestants are not judged on how they introduce themselves during the parade of contestants.
We are looking for pretty faces and girls having a great time!!!
Admission:
Pageant admission is $4.00 per adult, $2.00 per child ages 5 & up.
Contestants and one adult will be entered at no charge. Children 4 and under get in free. Visiting queens will not be charged.
Competition Events
Beauty:
There will be one beauty queen winner and four runners up chosen in each of the age divisions.
Queens will receive a crown, monogrammed sash, and a large trophy.
The winners will be able to participate in parades, community events, and make appearances throughout their reign.
The four runners up will each receive a trophy and gift bag. All other contestants will receive a participation trophy and gift bag.
No one goes away empty handed.
Judging in the beauty competition will be based on a 100 point scale on beauty, poise, personality, and overall appearance.
Optional Awards (Best Dressed, Personality, Prettiest Eyes, Smile, and Hair):
There will be one winner in each age division for each category, who will receive a trophy.
These will be judged during line up and throughout the pageant.
Judging for the optional awards will be based on a 10 point scale for each category.
Photogenic:
There will be one winner for each age division, who will receive a trophy.
Your choice of one color or black and white photo will be due along with your application.
Extra photos may be entered for an additional $5.00 each.
Please no framed pictures or pictures larger than 8x10.
Photos do not have to be professional, but please label them with your name and age division.
Judging for the photogenic award will be based on a 10 point scale.
Sponsorship Queen:
There will be one overall Sponsorship Queen who will receive a crown, sash, and trophy for selling the most ads.
In order to receive this title the contestant must gather a minimum of $150.00 in sponsorships.
Sell to friends, family, and businesses. These are personal Good Luck and or Sponsor Ads for the program book.
Program ads fees are as follows: $25.00 business card, $50.00 ½ page, and $100.00 full page.
Ads must be turned in along with your application in order for them to be printed in the program book.
Peoples Choice Award:
There will be one overall people's choice winner.
The contestant that has the most votes overall will receive the People's Choice Award Trophy.
Start now collecting money/votes to be turned in before or at the pageant. Votes are $1.00 each.
