(1) Contestants will compete in the age division they are in the day of the pageant. Contestant must be a legal resident of Alabama. Pageant is open to the entire state of Alabama. Parents owning Property in Alabama does not constitute the contestant being a resident of Alabama.
(2) Contestants must have never been married, ever been pregnant or ever had a baby. Contestant & those named Queen shall possess poise, personality, intelligence, charm and be of good moral character, always act in a lady like manner & never convicted of a crime. Should there be a problem of any kind during the pageant, during a Queens's reign or related events or by a contestant it is to brought the the attention of the Directors. Any unruly, unsportsmanlike, or any unbecoming conduct by a local queen, Queen, contestant or any member of her entourage, or any disregard for the rules and regulations of this pageant could result in immediate dismissal from further competition without refund.
(3) Furthermore, during all Palm Queens reign, Queens cannot marry, become pregnant or be convicted of a crime during their reign. Queens shall possess poise, personality, intelligence, charm and be of good moral character, always act in a lady like manner & never suspended or expelled from school & never convicted of a crime. All Queens must agree to keep all internet sites, photos, media, etc… at a level that would not bring discredit to themselves or their title that they hold. In the event that a Queen gets involved in any situation that could bring into question any of the above issues it is the Queens responsibility to notify the Director in a timely manner, so that we do not hear of any issues or possible concerns from other sources 1st. Situations will be addressed on a case by case basis. All Queens must understand and agree that, should the Miss Alabama Palm Pageant system & director determine that your title be relinquished; Queens will be required to return all prizes given to her without reprisal. Depending upon the severity of the action or behavior, it could result in a permanent barrier from future competition in the Miss Alabama Palm State Pageant system. If you should lose your State title, you will not be allowed to compete in the Miss Alabama State Palm Pageant again! If a Palm queen loses her title, she will have to return all prizes including but not limited to crown, banner, trophy, and gifts without reprisal and is responsible for any legal fee's and or court costs incurred by the pageant system in recouping these items mentioned.
(4) If you win Miss Alabama Palm or hold any Local Palm title: You can hold any title, we don't care how many titles you hold, and compete for, and we encourage you in all of them. The State Miss Alabama Palm Director must be made aware of any appearances you will be making & give you prior approval. Must always act in a ladylike manner, dress very appropriately for appearances, and always wear crown and banner. Always get dress attire approved by Director. Queens will have a minimum of five (5) scheduled mandatory events to attend throughout their reigning year as Miss Alabama Palm State Queens to receive the minimum end of year scholarship. Additionally, their will be approximately 10 various additional other scheduled events that you may also choose to attend, which will increase your scholarship amount even more. Making appearances beyond the mandatory events and the scheduled events will increase your scholarship even more. In other words the more you promote your title and the pageant, the more state entries there will be, which will cause your scholarship to be higher than other Queens who may not be promoting there pageant as often.
(5) Miss Queen is responsible for making contact with the State Palm Director, not other family members. All Queens must be on time for all appointments & appearances.
(6) All Palm Queens agree to abide by all the rules and regulations set forth by the Miss Alabama Palm Pageant Board now in affect or announced thereafter. The pageant will be conducted under the rules set forth by the Miss Alabama Palm State Pageant Board and a contestant agrees that the time, manner, and method of judging the pageant shall be solely within the discretion of the Pageant Board and the judges decision are final.
(7) If there are more than 10 in a Division we will annouce the top 5 in random order, then anounce their placing. If there are more than 20 in a division we will announce the top 10 in random order, followed by the top 5 in random order, then we will anounce their placing.
(8) No refunds unless the pageant should be canceled. Entry fees, optional fees and ads must accompany application.
(9) The number of applications accepted in each age division will not be limited. Contestant line-up will be in alphabetical order.
(10) The preregistration date to enter is by Friday TBA for the $75.00 entry fee & must be Postmarked on or before TBA. Applications must include all money, application, ads, & photo's.
Applications postmarked after TBA will be accepted until Friday TBA (must be postmarked on or before this date), however the entry fee will increase to $100.00. Applications must include all money, application, ads, & photo's.

(11) Local County and City Palm Queen title holders' entry fee is only $50.00 and is to be paid by the Queen, her family or a sponsor.
Entry Fee for any current reigning Queens from any other pageant within the State of Alabama is $75.00.
At large contestant's entry fee is $100.00.

(12) All contestants must be sponsored by family, friends or businesses with 1 ad. Sponsor will be announced on stage & will be a personal Good Luck Ad of 12 words or less for program that will appear below their photo on the constestant/division page.
(13) The Miss Alabama Palm State Hospitality Queen competition is open to all contestants.
In order to be eligible for this competition contestants must meet the minimum ad requirement of 10 ads which is 2 1/2 pages.
Hospitality deadline postmark date is TBA.
The contestant competing for & selling the most Hospitality ads above the 10 ad minimum will win & be crowned with the State Title "Miss Alabama Palm State Hospitality Queen" & Receives a High End State Level Full Round Crown, Double stoned lined high end white sash finely embroidered in Green & Orange trimmed Banner & Trophy
& makes appearances with division Queens. Sell to friends, family & Businesses. These are personal Good Luck &/or sponsor Ads for program. Ads must include your photo, name & town & must be turned in complete & ready to copied by our printers.
1 ad is $25.00 = 1/4 page, 2 ads is $50.00 = 1/2 page, 4 ads is $100.00 = a full page ad.

(14) The Miss Alabama Tropical Palm State Queen swimwear competition is open to all contestants. Entry is only $30.00. It will be scored separately from the seven optional & eight division competitions as a separate optional competition. The swimwear competition will take place after the beauty competition score sheets have been turned into auditor of 2:00pm & 6:00pm pageants.
The Swimwear competition will be scored from 1-25 in each of the following 4 areas:
(1) Beauty: of Face and Figure,
(2) Swimwear: Color, Style & Fit,
(3) Presentation: Modeling Ability, Posture & Confidence,
(4) Overall Appearance:
The person with the highest score in the swimwear competition will be crowned
"Little Miss Florida Tropical Palm State Queen"

(15) The Miss Alabama Tropical Palm Ambassador State Queen Competition is an effort to increase the Scholarship fund for the queens. It is a competition that is fully decided upon by the people through $1.00 People's Choice votes. These $1.00 votes can be turned in with the application and will be added to $1.00 votes turned in at the 2:00pm and up until the final intermission of the 6:00pm Pageant. The Ambassador Queen competition has a minimum eligibility requirement of 150 votes. The Miss Alabama Tropical Palm Ambassador State Queen receives a High End State Level Full Round Crown, Double stoned lined high end white sash finely embroidered in Green & Orange trimmed Banner & Trophy & makes appearances with division Queens.
(16) The Miss Alabama Palm State Pageant will not double crown. Should you win your age division and the swimwear, Ambassador and/or the hospitality competition you will be crowned for your age division only, which takes pecedence. In the event that this happens the 1st runner-up in the swimwear, ambassador and/or the hospitality competitions will be crowned. This allows us to Crown 13 State Queens instead of only 8.
(17) No electronic devices, CAMERA's, Video Recorders, Camcorders, cell phones, beepers, etc. allowed in the building. This includes members of the contestant's family. We will have a videographer and a photographer at the pageant for your convenience. Anyone caught using any of these devices will be promptly asked to leave or law enforcement will be called and points will be deducted from your contestants score. Your cooperation is appreciated.
(18) Only Money Orders or cash will be accepted after TBA_)_____ (No Checks). A $40.00 service charge will be charged for any returned checks. Checks not picked up within 30 days will be turned over to the states attorney and/or collection agency at your expense.
(19) No outside food or drinks inside auditorium at the pageant of any kind.
(20) Teeny, Tiny, Little, and Junior will be scored a 1 to 20 on personality, beauty, poise, gown, and overall appearance. Tiny thru Junior will also receive an unscored on-stage question during their walk from Bio Sheet. They will introduce themselves on stage. Name, division, contestant number & town during the initial introductions and parade of contestants. Pageant gown will be worn for this.
(21) Teen & Miss will be scored 50% on a five minute interview, 25% on a one minute platform speech, and 25% on evening gown.

(22) No solicitation is allowed at the Miss Alabama Palm Pageant without prior approval from the Director. You will be asked to leave promptly! We look forward to you joining us in the fun and excitement of competing for this state title & promoting the Miss Alabama Palm Pageant System.
(23) There will be an initial parade of contestants, followed by dual line-up introductions (Name, division, contestant number & town), then on to the division competitions which will begin with a group line-up, then their individual walks with an on-stage question for Tiny - Junior divisions at podium, then a final group line-up after each division (this is when optionals will be scored). Teen & Miss will receive their on stage question after the parade of contestants and introductions.
(24) Please understand that not all contestants enter optionals & the scoring & auditing of optionals may take some time to tally & require a intermission. There are 7 optionals that the girls are competing for which takes awhile to audit.
(25) All Contestants: Please remain for photos after the pageant to include division winners & all placings.
