Only Contestants & State & National Queens are admitted free.

The Dressing Rooms will open at 8:00am the day of the pageant;

The Auditorium Doors will open at 1:30pm.

Judges will be of the highest caliber for your pageant with no prior connection to anyone participating in the pageant!

Pageant is Open to Alabama Residents Only! No experience is necessary to compete in the Miss Alabama Palm Pageant!

It is an at large pageant and open to anyone within the state of Florida! "13, yes, Thirteen State Titles will be awarded"

Our Track Record Thus Far in Florida.

2007 = $1,000 Scholarship, $2,000 in prizes = $3,000; 2008 = $4,000 Scholarships, $3,000 in prizes = $7,000

2009 = $8,000 Scholarships, $3,000 in prizes = $11,000 (47 contestants); 2010 = $6,400.00 Scholarships, $3,000 in prizes = $9,400.00 (28 Contestants)

We have a Goal of 100 contestants for the 2012 Pageant. If we reach this goal we anticapate awarding approx. $20,000.00

in Scholarships & Prizes to our 2011 State Queens. Another goal is at least 10 in each of the 7 divisions.

The Miss Alabama Palm State Scholarship Pageant is a prelim to the National Southern Miss scholarship pageant system on Panama City Beach, Fl.

All 2012 State Queens are required to enter Nationals & 2012 State contestants are eligible to entry Nationals.

Both will receive a discount on their National entry fees to the 4th Annual National Scholarship pageant

in Oct 2012 for additional scholarships, crowns, titles, banners & more.

Miss Alabama Palm State Pageant is designed as a premier pageant system to support Education through Scholarships

& to give contestants necessary practice & confidence of life skills for future Interviews, public speaking and other competitions.

BEST OF ALL, THE QUEENS WILL BE STATE QUEENS WITH STATE TITLES & REPRESENT THE STATE

TRADEMARKED TITLE OF THE MISS ALABAMA PALM STATE SCHOLARSHIP PAGEANT tm.

All proceeds remaining after expenses from this pageant will go towards scholarships and savings bonds intended for education for the

Queens. Programs, and any other items sold separetly are excluded from these proceeds.

We are a very exciting and rewarding pageant system that is growing great and continueing to build upon

our positive reputation as a Rewarding, Fun Filled & Fair Pageant System.

We are one of the HOTTEST & Fastest growing systems in Alabama. We have an intense focus on Scholarships for Queens.

We may not have the most extravegant props, backdrops, scenery , bells & whistles, frills, etc.,

Quite simply because we are focused on giving the largest scholarship amounts possible to our Queens.

Teen, Miss & Mrs. are judged on: 40% interview (5 minute), 50% evening gown competition, 5% on-stage question, 5% Introduction.

Junior are judged on: 10% interview (5 minute), Personality & Poise 20%, Beauty 20%, Gown 20%, Overall Appearance 20%, 5% on-stage question, 5% Introduction.

Tiny-Little Divisions are judged on: Personality & Poise 25%, Beauty 25%, Gown 20%, Overall Appearance 20%, 5% on-stage question, 5% Introduction.

Teeny Divisions are judged on: Personality 20%, Poise 20%, Beauty 20%, Gown 20%, Overall Appearance 20%.

Attire is Dress of Choice: Meaning Pageant or Heirloom for the younger divisions.

Walk & Pattern of Choice! 3 Point Front T is recommended.

Everyone who enters the state pageant (Win or Lose) will be eligible to advance on to the

National Southern Miss Scholarship Pageant in October with a discount.

All 13 Queens that win State are required to enter Nationals & will receive $50.00 off their entry fee to Nationals.

Everyone else that compete at state is eligible to advance to & enter Nationals.

These categories are $50 each. This competition will be held separately from the pageant but winners will be announced at the Pageant.

Competitions will take place after all division competitions are complete beginning with Modeling, then Swimwear & then Talent.

Have a Talent to showcase, want to Walk the Runway, Strike that pose & compete for these Awesome State Titles!

Ever want to have your own personal modeling shoot on the runway or earn a scholarship for your Talent.

Get Ready Now! It will be walk of choice and pattern of choice & music of choice for this competition.

You are on the modeling runway!. Chose your best swimwear, Talent or Modeling outfit (Outfit of choice)

and have a great time competing for these State Titles. You will choose your own music. Must be turned in on a CD with your application.

It is optional to enter these competitions. Entry fee is an additional $50.00 each.

The one Contestant with the highest score in Modeling will have Model of the Year added to her banner.

The one contestant with the highest division score, Talent Score, Modeling score & Swimwear score will be

awarded the addtional title of Supreme Queen which will be added to her banner.

Must enter all 3 Optional competitions to be eligible.

"RECOMMENDED ATTIRE"

Is totally your choice. I recommend it be age appropriate & in good taste. You need to choose which you think you will compete better in.

Age, look & personality you are wanting to present should dictate.

Modeling & Swimwear

Can be ANY outfit or swimsuit of your choice. Modeling & Swimwear time is limited to 90 seconds.

You may choose your own music but it has to be submitted with application before the deadline

The modeling & swimsuit routines for ages 0-9 should be routine style, sassy, upbeat version of your walk.

You may incorporate dance style moves but it is not a dance routine. Remember you are modeling.

For ages 10-up it must be Runway style, not routine.

Talent

Can be ANYTHING and is limited to 2 minutes. Special props must be discussed with director

Music must be submitted application prior to the deadline.

Pageant Rules

**By signing your application, you are consenting to have read, understand & agree

to abide by the Pageant Rules & Info Sheet.

(1) Contestants will compete in the age division they are in the day of the State pageant. Contestant must be a legal resident of Alabama. Pageant is open to the entire state of Alabama. Parents owning Property in Alabama does not constitute the contestant being a resident of Alabama. All Miss Alabama Palm State Queens in all divisions and Miss Alabama Tropical Palm State Queens from all optional divisions are required & must enter the National Southern Miss Scholarship Pageant scheduled for October 2012.

(2) Contestants must have never been married, ever been pregnant or ever had a baby. (Exception is Mrs. Division). Contestant & those named Queen shall possess poise, personality, intelligence, charm and be of good moral character, always act in a lady like manner & never convicted of a crime. Should there be a problem of any kind during the pageant, during a Queens's reign or related events or by a contestant it is to brought the the attention of the Directors. Any unruly, unsportsmanlike, or any unbecoming conduct by a local queen, Queen, contestant or any member of her entourage, or any disregard for the rules and regulations of this pageant could result in immediate dismissal from further competition without refund.

(3) Furthermore, during all Palm Queens reign, Queens cannot marry, become pregnant, (exception Mrs. Division) or be convicted of a crime during their reign. Queens shall possess poise, personality, intelligence, charm and be of good moral character, always act in a lady like manner & never suspended or expelled from school & never convicted of a crime. All Queens must agree to keep all internet sites, photos, media, etc… at a level that would not bring discredit to themselves or their title that they hold. In the event that a Queen gets involved in any situation that could bring into question any of the above issues it is the Queens responsibility to notify the Director in a timely manner, so that we do not hear of any issues or possible concerns from other sources 1st. Situations will be addressed on a case by case basis. All Queens must understand and agree that, should the Miss Alabama Palm Pageant system & director determine that your title be relinquished; Queens will be required to return all prizes given to her without reprisal. Depending upon the severity of the action or behavior, it could result in a permanent barrier from future competition in the Miss Alabama Palm State Pageant system. If you should lose your State title, you will not be allowed to compete in the Miss Alabama State Palm Pageant again! If a Palm queen loses her title, she will have to return all prizes including but not limited to crown, banner, trophy, and gifts without reprisal and is responsible for any legal fee's and or court costs incurred by the pageant system in recouping these items mentioned. Failure to enter National Southern Miss terminates their reign.

(4) If you win Miss Alabama Palm or hold any Local Palm title: You can hold any other pageant title, we don't care how many titles you hold, and compete for, and we encourage you in all of them. The State Miss Alabama Palm Director must be made aware of any appearances you will be making & give you prior approval. Must always act in a ladylike manner, dress very appropriately for appearances, and always wear crown and banner. Always get dress attire approved by Director. Queens will have a minimum of five (5) scheduled mandatory events to attend throughout their reigning year as Miss Alabama Palm State Queens to receive the minimum end of year scholarship. Additionally, their will be approximately 10 various additional other scheduled events that you may also choose to attend, which will increase your scholarship amount even more. Making appearances beyond the mandatory events and the scheduled events will increase your scholarship even more. In other words the more you promote your title and the pageant, the more state entries there will be, which will cause your scholarship to be higher than other Queens who may not be promoting there pageant as often. All Scholarships are based on the amount of contestants in the Pageant. You main focus as our Queen is to promote the Pageant and help get contestants to enter the pageant.

(5) All Crowns, Banners/Sashes, Titles and prizes that are awarded to you are the property of the Miss Alabama Palm State Scholarship Pageant System until you successfully complete your reign as Queen. At no such time is a Queen to wear any item awarded to her by the Miss Alabama Palm State Scholarship Pageant to represent, promote or advertise any other pageant system. We strive to present the best image to the public possible, one that will bring the highest credit to you and our system by having the best prizes possible. The wearing of any of our prizes publically while promoting another pageant system is an infringement on our Trademark rights. Furthermore if any photos of anyone violating such practices are posted on the internet this is also be a violation of intellectual property law and our Trademark & copyrights.

(6) Miss Queen is responsible for making contact with the State Palm Director, not other family members. All Queens must be on time for all appointments & appearances.

(7) All Palm Queens agree to abide by all the rules and regulations set forth by the Miss Alabama Palm Pageant Board now in affect or announced thereafter. The pageant will be conducted under the rules set forth by the Miss Alabama Palm State Pageant Board and a contestant agrees that the time, manner, and method of judging the pageant shall be solely within the discretion of the Pageant Board and the judges decision are final.

(8) If there are more than 10 in a Division we will annouce the top 5 in random order, then anounce their placing. If there are more than 20 in a division we will announce the top 10 in random order, followed by the top 5 in random order, then we will anounce their placing.

(9) No refunds unless the pageant should be canceled. Entry fees, optional fees and the one mandatory ad must accompany application. The number of applications accepted in each age division will not be limited. Contestant line-up will be in alphabetical order.

(10) You must enter by June ?? 2012 & must be Postmarked on or before this date. Applications must include all money, application, ads, & photo's.

Applications postmarked after June ?? 2012 will be accepted, with a $25.00 late fee. Applications must include all money, application, ad, & photo's.

(11) Prelim to Palm Pageants: Entry fee is only $75.00 and is to be paid by the Queen, her family or a sponsor.

Entry Fee for any other current reigning Queen from any other pageant within the State of Alabama is $125.00.

At Large entry fee is $150.00. (No current title). All entries Must be postmarked by Juun 2012.

(12) All contestants must be sponsored by family, friends or businesses with 1 mandatory $25.00 ad. Sponsor will be announced on stage & will be a personal Good Luck Ad of 15 words or less for program that will appear below their photo on the constestant/division page. Write the ad at the bottom of the 2nd page of the application. You must Email the picture you want used for the best quality and email the 15 words of good luck.

(13) The Miss Alabama Tropical Palm State Queen swimwear competition is open to all contestants. Entry is only $50.00. It will be scored separately from the three optional & seven division competitions as a separate optional competition. You will have a time limit of 60 seconds, not to exceed 90 Seconds at which time if you are not done the Sound person will fade you out. The modeling, swimwear and talent competition will begin after the divisions competitions are completed. The Modeling & Swimwear competition will be scored from 1-25 in each of the following 4 areas:

(1) Beauty: of Face and Figure,

(2) Swimwear/Attire: Color, Style & Fit,

(3) Presentation: Modeling Ability, Posture & Confidence,

(4) Overall Appearance:

The person winning the swimwear competition will be crowned: "Little Miss Alabama Tropical Palm State Queen Swimwear" or "Miss Alabama Tropical Palm State Queen Swimwear" & Receives a High End State Level Full Round Crown, Double stoned lined high end white sash finely embroidered in ?? & ?? trimmed Banner & makes appearances with division Queens.

(14) Compete for the State Title of Miss Alabama Tropical Palm Model Queen Competition. The swimwear, modeling, and talent competition will begin after the divisions competitions are completed. Walk the Runway, Strike that pose & compete for this State Title! Ever want to have your own personal modeling shoot. Get Ready Now! Chose your best modeling outfit and have the time of your life competing for this great State Title. It is optional to enter this competition. Entry fee is $50.00. You will have a time limit of 60 seconds, not to exceed 90 Seconds at which time if you are not done the Sound person will fade you out. All entries will be judged on their modeling abilities and their photogenic appeal by the Judges. The person winning the modeling competition will be crowned:"Little Miss Alabama Tropical Palm State Queen Model" or "Miss Alabama Tropical Palm State Queen Model" & Receives a High End State Level Full Round Crown, Double stoned lined high end white sash finely embroidered in ?? & ?? trimmed Banner & makes appearances with division Queens.

(15) Compete for the State Title of Miss Alabama Tropical Palm Talent Queen Competition. It is open to all contestants ages 4-up. Entry is only $50.00. It will be scored separately from seven division competitions as a separate optional competition for a State Title. This competition is optional but Please understand that entering this optional increases your opportunity at a State Title in the event you do not win your division. The swimwear, modeling, and talent competition will take place after all division competitions are complete. Chose your best Talent and have the time of your life competing for this great State Title. It is optional to enter this competition. All entries will be judged on their Talent & Judges Appeal.

You must advise us on what you will be bringing to facilitate your talent when you turn in your application. If it is to music you must include a music cd with your application. You will have a time limit of 2 minutes at which time if you are not done the Sound person will fade you out.

Two (2) State titles will be awarded in the Talent competition & will be crowned: "Little Miss Alabama Tropical Palm State Queen Talent" or "Miss Alabama Tropical Palm State Queen Talent" & Receives a High End National Level Full Round Crown, Double stoned lined high end white sash finely embroidered in ?? & ?? trimmed Banner & makes appearances with division Queens.

(16) The Miss Alabama Palm State Pageant will not double crown. Should you win your age division and the swimwear, Modeling, and Talent competition you will be crowned for your age division only, which takes pecedence. In the event that this happens the 1st runner-up in the swimwear, modeling, and talent competitions will be crowned. This allows us to Crown 13 State Queens instead of only 7.

(17) No electronic devices, CAMERA's, Video Recorders, Camcorders, cell phones, beepers, etc. allowed in the building. This includes members of the contestant's family. We will have a videographer and a photographer at the pageant for your convenience. Anyone caught using any of these devices will be promptly asked to leave or law enforcement will be called. Your cooperation is appreciated.

(18) Only Money Orders or cash will be accepted after the Deadline date (No Checks). A $40.00 service charge will be charged for any returned checks. Checks not picked up within 30 days will be turned over to the states attorney and/or collection agency at your expense.

(19) No outside food or drinks inside auditorium at the pageant of any kind.

(20) Teen, Miss & Mrs. are judged on: 40% interview (5 minute), 50% evening gown competition, 5% on-stage question, 5% Introduction.

Junior are judged on the following: 10% interview (5 minute), Personality & Poise 20 % - Beauty 20% - Gown 20% - Overall Appearance 20%, 5% on-stage question - 5% Introduction

Tiny-Little Divisions are judged on the following: Personality & Poise 25% - Beauty 25% - Gown 20% - Overall Appearance 20% - 5% on-stage question, 5% Introduction

Teeny Divisions are judged on the following: Personality 20%, Poise 20% - Beauty 20% - Gown 20% - Overall Appearance 20%

Tiny thru Little will receive an on-stage question during their walk from Bio/application Sheet. So insure you know the info you submit on it. Their walk must include a stop at the podium for the question. They will introduce themselves on stage. Name, Title, division, contestant number, town or county and a little flavor not to exceed 20 seconds. This will be done during the parade of contestants as part of the very simple opening.

Teen, Miss & Mrs. will recieve an on-stage question from something that came up during interview. Their walk must include a stop at the podium for the question. Teen, Miss & Mrs will also be introducing themselves on stage. Name, Title, division, contestant number, town or county and a little flavor not to exceed 20 seconds. This will be done during the parade of contestants as part of the very simple opening.

Tiny & Little Miss can wear either pageant or heirloom dress. It is dress of choice.

(21) Tiny -Little will wear there pageant or heirloon dress for introductions and Junior - Mrs will wear an interview suit for introductions.

(22) No solicitation is allowed at the Miss Alabama Palm Pageant without prior approval from the Director. You will be asked to leave promptly! We look forward to you joining us in the fun and excitement of competing for this state title & promoting the Miss Alabama Palm Pageant System.

(23) There will be an initial parade of contestants, followed by introductions (Name, Title, division, contestant number, town or county & a little flavor not to exceed 20 seconds), then on to the division competitions and their individual walks with an on-stage question for Tiny - Mrs. divisions at podium. Walk must include a stop at the podium for their onstage question. Then a final group line-up after each division (this is when optionals will be scored).

(24) Please understand that not all contestants enter optionals & the scoring & auditing of optionals may take some time to tally & require a intermission. There are 3 optionals plus the optional Modeling, Swimwear & Talent that the girls are competing for which takes awhile to audit.

(25) All Queens MUST remain for photos after the pageant.

No pageant experience is necessary to compete in the Miss Alabama Palm Pageant.

It is an open pageant and anyone within the state of Alabama is eligible to enter at large.

If you are a current local Palm Queen or a Queen from any other pageant within Alabama your entry fee is reduced.

It is designed as a premier pageant system to support Education, promote other pageants & to give contestants neccesary practice &

confidence of life skills for future Interviews, speech, public speaking and other competitions. Queens will serve as

Ambassadors for Education within the state of Alabama and promote & support all other pageant systems for the upcoming year.

We request that Queens promote and support all pageant systems and make every attempt to attend all pageants in their area.

State Queens can make and are encouraged to make all the appearances they want throughout the year!

If asked by another pageant system director to assist with another pageant system we highly encourage you to do so to the utmost of your ability.

It is required that whenever you make appearances you are dressed appropriately, in a manner that will bring credit to your State Title you

are representing & the pageant system you are assisting. There will be a few mandatory scheduled appearances (a minimum or 5) for the Queens

to participate in. Possible events will be determined by the locale of the Queens that win. Some intial possible considerations are as follows,

such as but not limited to: Miss Florida & Miss Alabama Cotton State Pageants, Miss Sunshine Pageant,

Miss Alabama Camiela State Pageant, More TBA, along with other Chritstmas parades and events throughout their year.

Queens are also highly encouraged to participate in all area parades & events throughout their area within the State of Alabama.

The more you promote your title through appearances and events you attend will cause more entries next year which will increase your scholarships.

Pageant Rules

**By signing your application, you are consenting to have read, understand & agree

to abide by the Pageant Rules & Info Sheet.

DOOR ADMISSION - $10.00 per person at the door.

Contestants families can prepurchase their admission tickets in any quantities with their applications for $5.00 each.

Tickets will be given out at Rehearsal on Friday night.

It was brought to our attention that several people have been let in the back door of the auditorium at our Florida State Pageant without paying.

If any contestant or family of a contestant is caught doing this in the future the contestant

or contestants will be disqualified without reimbursment or reprisal.

This is a scholarship pageant and it is only taking money away from the contestants when people do this.

Only Contestants, Visiting Queens & children under 2 are admitted free.

(1) Contestants will compete in the age division they are in the day of the pageant. Contestant must be a legal resident of Alabama. Pageant is open to the entire state of Alabama. Parents owning Property in Alabama does not constitute the contestant being a resident of Alabama.

(2) Contestants must have never been married, ever been pregnant or ever had a baby. Contestant & those named Queen shall possess poise, personality, intelligence, charm and be of good moral character, always act in a lady like manner & never convicted of a crime. Should there be a problem of any kind during the pageant, during a Queens's reign or related events or by a contestant it is to brought the the attention of the Directors. Any unruly, unsportsmanlike, or any unbecoming conduct by a local queen, Queen, contestant or any member of her entourage, or any disregard for the rules and regulations of this pageant could result in immediate dismissal from further competition without refund.

(3) Furthermore, during all Palm Queens reign, Queens cannot marry, become pregnant or be convicted of a crime during their reign. Queens shall possess poise, personality, intelligence, charm and be of good moral character, always act in a lady like manner & never suspended or expelled from school & never convicted of a crime. All Queens must agree to keep all internet sites, photos, media, etc… at a level that would not bring discredit to themselves or their title that they hold. In the event that a Queen gets involved in any situation that could bring into question any of the above issues it is the Queens responsibility to notify the Director in a timely manner, so that we do not hear of any issues or possible concerns from other sources 1st. Situations will be addressed on a case by case basis. All Queens must understand and agree that, should the Miss Alabama Palm Pageant system & director determine that your title be relinquished; Queens will be required to return all prizes given to her without reprisal. Depending upon the severity of the action or behavior, it could result in a permanent barrier from future competition in the Miss Alabama Palm State Pageant system. If you should lose your State title, you will not be allowed to compete in the Miss Alabama State Palm Pageant again! If a Palm queen loses her title, she will have to return all prizes including but not limited to crown, banner, trophy, and gifts without reprisal and is responsible for any legal fee's and or court costs incurred by the pageant system in recouping these items mentioned.

(4) If you win Miss Alabama Palm or hold any Local Palm title: You can hold any title, we don't care how many titles you hold, and compete for, and we encourage you in all of them. The State Miss Alabama Palm Director must be made aware of any appearances you will be making & give you prior approval. Must always act in a ladylike manner, dress very appropriately for appearances, and always wear crown and banner. Always get dress attire approved by Director. Queens will have a minimum of five (5) scheduled mandatory events to attend throughout their reigning year as Miss Alabama Palm State Queens to receive the minimum end of year scholarship. Additionally, their will be approximately 10 various additional other scheduled events that you may also choose to attend, which will increase your scholarship amount even more. Making appearances beyond the mandatory events and the scheduled events will increase your scholarship even more. In other words the more you promote your title and the pageant, the more state entries there will be, which will cause your scholarship to be higher than other Queens who may not be promoting there pageant as often.

(13) The Miss Alabama Palm State Hospitality Queen competition is open to all contestants.

In order to be eligible for this competition contestants must meet the minimum ad requirement of 10 ads which is 2 1/2 pages.

Hospitality deadline postmark date is TBA.

The contestant competing for & selling the most Hospitality ads above the 10 ad minimum will win & be crowned with the State Title "Miss Alabama Palm State Hospitality Queen" & Receives a High End State Level Full Round Crown, Double stoned lined high end white sash finely embroidered in Green & Orange trimmed Banner & Trophy

& makes appearances with division Queens. Sell to friends, family & Businesses. These are personal Good Luck &/or sponsor Ads for program. Ads must include your photo, name & town & must be turned in complete & ready to copied by our printers.

1 ad is $25.00 = 1/4 page, 2 ads is $50.00 = 1/2 page, 4 ads is $100.00 = a full page ad.

(15) The Miss Alabama Tropical Palm Ambassador State Queen Competition is an effort to increase the Scholarship fund for the queens. It is a competition that is fully decided upon by the people through $1.00 People's Choice votes. These $1.00 votes can be turned in with the application and will be added to $1.00 votes turned in at the 2:00pm and up until the final intermission of the 6:00pm Pageant. The Ambassador Queen competition has a minimum eligibility requirement of 150 votes. The Miss Alabama Tropical Palm Ambassador State Queen receives a High End State Level Full Round Crown, Double stoned lined high end white sash finely embroidered in Green & Orange trimmed Banner & Trophy & makes appearances with division Queens.

(16) The Miss Alabama Palm State Pageant will not double crown. Should you win your age division and the swimwear, Ambassador and/or the hospitality competition you will be crowned for your age division only, which takes pecedence. In the event that this happens the 1st runner-up in the swimwear, ambassador and/or the hospitality competitions will be crowned. This allows us to Crown 13 State Queens instead of only 8.

(21) Teen & Miss will be scored 50% on a five minute interview, 25% on a one minute platform speech, and 25% on evening gown.

Teen & Miss will also be introducing themselves on stage. Name, division, contestant number & town during the initial introductions and parade of contestants which will be followed by an on stage question. Interview suits will be worn for this
