2009 Miss Watermelon Pageant
The 2009 Annual Panhandle Watermelon Pageant will be held on June 13th at the Washington County Ag Center on Hwy 90 in Chipley. The doors open at noon and the fun continues throughout the afternoon into the evening. There will be concessions, door prizes, entertainment, and beauties of all ages ... so come on out and join in the fun.

The 52nd annual Watermelon Festival will be held at the Agriculture Center in Chipley, Florida, on Saturday, June 27th. There will be a pancake breakfast; 5,000-meter run; watermelon contest and auction; a parade; a downtown street fair; live music; an antique car show; arts and crafts; children's activities; and much more. The Spirit of GA Pageants will be held on January 24, 2009 in Bainbridge, GA.

Baby Miss ages 0 to 1 year, Teeny Miss 2 to 3 years , Tiny Miss 4 to 6 years,
Little Miss 7 to 9 years , Junior Miss 10 to 12 years , Teen Miss 13 to 16 years
Miss 17 to 24 years , Ms. ages 25 and up
Baby Miss and Ms. division will not be competing at State. Deadline to enter will be March 19, 2009!
The pageant will start promptly at 7pm. The cost of admission will be $7.00.
Baby Miss – Teen and Ms. division is open to all counties. Miss contestants must reside, work, or attend school or college in Mitchell, Baker, Worth, Dougherty, Colquitt, Thomas, Grady, or Decatur County . The Baby – Junior and Ms. divisions will be judged in gown competition only.
The Teen and Miss divisions will be judged in gown, interview, and a one minute platform speech.

You must sell at least one $25 Good Luck ad.
Miss Hospitality
A Miss Hospitality Queen will be crowned at the pageant as well. You must sell at least 8 $25 good luck ads to qualify. The winner will receive the same prizes as the other queens. You may sell these ads to your friends or businesses.
People’s Choice
Start selling your people’s choice votes now. Votes are $1.00 each. Money can be turned in at the check in table at the pageant. Votes can be made now until the intermission of the pageant. The contestant with the most votes in the whole pageant will receive a crown, sash, trophy and a goody bag. You must have at least $25 to qualify.

If you are a first time pageant contestant or you have been in several pageants,
you don't want to miss this workshop.
Moms, you are invited and it will be so helpful in planning your daughter for future pageants. Handouts will be given to each person who attends.
The workshop is scheduled for
Saturday, April 4, 2009
at the Graceville Civic Center in Graceville, Florida.
Times are 1:00 pm-4:00 pm.
If you want your child to participate in a mock pageant that day, please let me know. There will be three judges there who will score each child and talk private with the parent.
